Through Studio’s Giving Circles, you can help preserve Studio’s mission to share the very best in contemporary theatre. Our intimate spaces have become the hallmark of every Studio production. The quality of our artistry, our commitment to new work, and our long tradition of community building and workforce development help Studio thrive as a cultural icon for our city. And all of this would not be possible if not for your donations.
Your participation in any one of our Giving Circles brings you closer to the plays and all the players. Whether it is a talk with artists, a celebration with other local theatregoers, or a conversation with members of our artistic team, you are encouraged to discover what happens behind the scenes at 14th & P.
Specific engagement opportunities will vary by Giving Circle, but no matter your level of participation you will enjoy additional surprises, special opportunities for donor events, and recognition all season long.
“I feel lucky to have the support of a special group of Studio enthusiasts: people who feel that there is something magical about the intimacy of our spaces, who understand that the economics of producing excellent theatre in small rooms is especially challenging, and who allow us to work with actors and artisans who have mastered their craft. I invite you to support our endeavors by joining this circle of friends and enriching the lives of Washingtonians in the process.”
—David Muse, Studio Theatre Artistic Director
Open Circle participants are welcome to dive deeper into the creative process through a variety of specially curated Inside Look presentations. To thank you for investing in our programs, we will publicly acknowledge gifts of $500 or more in our season program.
For our Ovation Circle participants, in addition to our curated Inside Look presentations and printed recognition, you will be among the first to applaud the production’s cast, designers, and theatre makers at Opening Night celebrations.
The Artistic Director’s Circle is a dynamic group of Studio enthusiasts who invest in the artistic vision of Studio Theatre. When supporting Studio at the Artistic Director’s Circle level, you are welcome to join us for Inside Looks and Opening Nights. In addition to printed recognition in the program and in our Kogod Lobby, this group is invited to the annual Artistic Director’s Circle Dinner featuring a conversation between our Artistic Director and a special guest artist. The Artistic Director will also send, exclusively to this group, personal leadership updates, including an annual State of Studio Welcome Letter and Preview Season Announcement.
Special sponsorship opportunities are available within the Artistic Director’s Circle, including Season Sponsors beginning with contributions of $25,000; Production Underwriters beginning at $50,000; and dedicated sponsors for specific initiatives.
Exclusive engagement opportunities available for our sponsors might include joining the cast and crew for select First Rehearsal presentations, technical rehearsals, select Closing Toast celebrations; and dinner with a visiting playwright, director, or creative designer.
