SPRING 2008 WORKSHOPS TO REGISTER: Please call (202) 232-7267 SINGER’S PROCESS WORKSHOP February 23 +24 This weekend workshop will introduce the actor to performing Musical Theatre. Participants will explore the process of making sound through body and breath work; singing on pitch; discovering and releasing the emotion of the song; and, learning to sing with a piano. No prerequisite. Sat and Sun 2:00-6:00pm Instructor: George Fulginiti-Shakar ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP March 29 + 30 Through the Alexander Technique, actors can learn to recognize and prevent excess tension and unwanted movement patterns. These harmful habits get in the way of daily life as well as the way in which actors find character choices and execute performance. A special workshop in the technique will be presented for one weekend only. Instructor: Susan Martin Cohen Saturday & Sunday 1:00pm-4:00pm No prerequisite. |
