HISTORY


The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory was founded in 1975 by Studio Theatre Artistic and Managing Director, Joy Zinoman and has been called "Washington's most respected professional training for the theatre" by Washingtonian magazine.

The Conservatory program is dedicated to training actors of all ages to their fullest artistic potential and encouraging standards of excellence, integrity, discipline and the personal commitment of a seasoned professional.

Since its founding, The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory has provided highly individualized training to those seeking a rigorous and disciplined study of acting and directing.
